WHAT IS MARINE ENGINEERING ?



Marine Engineering is the design, construction
and maintenance of marine transportation
such as ships, oil platforms, harbours, etc.

A Marine Engineer has to acquire knowledge in other fields
of engineering to build a safe, efficient, cost-effective
and seaworthy watercraft. They usually work in shipyards,
design & consultation firms, equipment manufacturers,
regulatory bodies, navies and the government.



Requirements for Marine Engineering course.
MUET Obtain at least Band 2
IELTS Band 4 in IELTS
STPM Pass STPM with at least grade C in two subjects including Mathematics and one science subject and pass English in SPM
Diploma Pass Diploma (level 4 KKM) with at least of CGPA of 2.00 in a relevant field as approved by the Malaysia government or the University's Senate
Matriculation Pass Matriculation/Prepatory Programme/ Basic Course in a Science/Engineering/ Technology stream from any university approved by the Malaysian government with at least CGPA of 2.00
